📝 ARL Board Approves Renovations, Safety Upgrades & More
From Barcroft Apartment renovations to new sidewalks in Bluemont and historic designation for a Cherrydale home, the County Board tackled a full agenda this month. They also released $60K for Ranked Choice Voting outreach ahead of November’s election.
🗳️ Arlington Leads Virginia in Voter Turnout
Arlington’s House District 1 topped the state with nearly 18% turnout in the June 17 primaries—more than any other district in Virginia. High-interest local and statewide races, including a County Board seat, helped drive voters to the polls.
♻️ Long Lines for E-CARE Drop-Off
Arlington’s spring E-CARE event drew hundreds of cars early Saturday as residents lined up to safely dispose of paint, batteries, electronics, and more. Volunteers checked IDs and collected donations—like bikes—for a greener, cleaner community start to summer.
🌳 Neighbors Step Up After the Storm
After fierce winds downed trees and damaged homes last week, Arlington neighbors quickly jumped into action—checking on each other, helping seniors, and beginning the big cleanup together.
